📥 Information We Collect
- Account Information: Name and email address or phone number when you register. We do not store passwords — authentication is fully managed by Google Firebase.
- Payment Information: Transaction IDs and payment status via Razorpay. We do not store card numbers, UPI credentials, or bank details — all payment processing is handled by Razorpay.
- Usage Data: Stock symbols searched, features used, session timestamps, and IP address for security purposes.
- Device Data: Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers for improving compatibility.
🔐 Authentication & Credential Security
GoStock uses Google Firebase Authentication to manage all user sign-ins. This means:
- We never store your password on our servers — it is handled entirely by Google's infrastructure
- Sign-in via email magic link, phone OTP, or password is processed and verified by Firebase — we only receive a secure token confirming your identity
- All authentication traffic is encrypted in transit using TLS and secured by Google's enterprise-grade security systems
- Firebase Authentication is compliant with SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 standards
Your credentials are never visible to us. GoStock only sees a verified user ID issued by Google — never your password, OTP, or magic link token.

Your profile data (name, plan, usage history) is stored in Google Firestore, a fully managed cloud database by Google. This provides:
- Automatic encryption of all data at rest and in transit
- Access controlled exclusively via verified Firebase tokens — no public access
- Data residency within Google Cloud's secure infrastructure
- Automatic backups and high availability managed by Google

We do not sell your data. We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

🛡️ Data Security
Security is foundational to how GoStock is built. Our approach:
- All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS / TLS
- All data at rest is encrypted by Google Firestore's built-in AES-256 encryption
- Authentication is delegated entirely to Google Firebase — we never handle raw credentials
- Access to your data requires a valid, unexpired Firebase ID token issued specifically for your account
- We do not log passwords, OTPs, or authentication tokens
👤 Your Rights
- Request a copy of your personal data
- Delete your account and all associated data directly from your Profile → Danger Zone
- Opt out of non-transactional communications
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
Account deletion is self-serve. Go to your Profile tab and use the Delete My Account option. All your data is permanently removed from our servers and Firebase within 7 days.
